Work on the house is going slowly. Mr. Contractor has been steadily moving dirt and burying the back side of the basement. His goal still is to have the basement ready to receive the house by the last week of November.

The temperatures are still too cold to pour concrete, so it looks like Mr, Contractor will frame the front of the basement before the slab is poured. I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised that the process is upside down and inside out; after all, it’s been this way from the beginning.

Today, we are having our family Thanksgiving, so we didn’t make it to the property much this week. We stuck close to our temporary home between dinner preparations and the weather.
We are grateful for our friends and family who have supported us through the past two years. While we still have plenty of work ahead of us, we thank everyone who has helped us get this far.
