I talked with the company we decided to contract for our home and made a few decisions regarding the layout and features of the new place. Now we wait to see the damage. I tried to keep most of the features standard, but some things a person would just like to see built-in if they have the opportunity.
We drove up to the property on Thursday and parked a fifth-wheel camper to use to get us out of the weather when we’re working. I thought it would be a good opportunity for the new pup to get in a good run. And it was—until we got ready to leave, and she still wanted to run. She’s a Husky, so I expect her to get froggy at times. And she did. The only problem was the rain. I managed to chase her around for ten minutes or so before she capitulated and finally got in the car. Some peoples’ dogs! (chuckle)
Today is Independence Day in the United States. We’re spending the weekend in a remote campground with no facilities somewhere near where last year’s fire started. It feels good to unplug for a few days away from the maddening crowds.
