Welcome to Friday Features. What is it all about?

To be honest, I haven’t totally decided yet. I thought about blogging my freelance journey as I start a new chapter of my life. I thought about talking about some of the freaky stuff that happens in life. I thought about a lot of things.

So, I thought I would keep it broad for now, and see what floats to the surface during the week.

I want to start with my transition from a corporate employee to a retiree.

My first order of business has been to clean my office.

When I started this venture, my desk looked like this.

Now, it looks like this.

I know, it still needs work. But I can see the top of my desk now. That’s progress.

I plan not just to clean this space, but to take everything out, paint the walls, and update my bookcases. I want to try out a new color scheme and play with a couple of spray bottles of paint. Now that I have more time to create, I want a more creative space surrounding me.

Next Friday, I will be traveling home from the Black Hills. We had an opportunity for a “free” RV vacation stay, so we are taking advantage of the offer and are fully prepared to say “no.” Wish us luck.
