On Monday, I received a phone call telling me the county approved our temporary occupancy. YAY!
Of course, the mountain got more than a foot of snow over the weekend, so we weren’t able to move much during the week. We spent days lining up our ducks. By Wednesday, we realized we need a plow if we think to get moved any time soon. So, Thursday we did this.

First Reader and the salesman with our new ATV.
Timing is everything, and the shop has had this unit sitting on the floor for longer than they wanted. When we walked in, we did not intend to buy anything nearly this fancy, but they made us an offer we couldn’t refuse. This is the Cadillac of ATVs, let me tell you. It came with the tracks and a set of tires, heated grips, the extended snow plow (because of the tracks), and mirrors on both sides. Oh, and a passenger seat. We have a new workhorse. On Friday, we hauled it up the mountain.
Yesterday, we almost emptied one of our storage units, bringing a load of stuff up to the house. We brought up four carloads and a panel van full of boxes and furniture to begin moving into the house. It will be a work in process over the next few weeks as we haul our stuff from storage into the house.

Moving into the office.

We have finally have furniture in the house.

First Reader takes a break from moving stuff.
After one thousand, one hundred and forty-two days, we are finally moving back home.
Yay!!!
