Good Friday was a day of news for us. We heard from Mr. Contractor that the basement slab should be poured by this time next week. After that, he will bring up the I-beams and get the rest of the framing completed ahead of the house coming up the mountain. We’ve also been in contact with our respective case managers who are handling our overall recovery and a development loan/grant from the state to help us with the last of our expenses. We should know a lot more by Friday.

The weather forecast looks great for the week. However, the weekend is supposed to bring more moisture into the area to slop the roads up again. With luck, the drying trend will continue after that. We’re looking forward to progress on building our house now that spring has officially arrived.
