All is quiet on the building front this week. We received a packet of updated paperwork and had to call our case manager because a name was misspelled. We learned a couple of things, so that’s good. Now we know that our home will, indeed, start with a serial number. And we know the size of the hot tub we will put up and what the structure below the spa will require.
Although we have our building plans in hand, not much is happening at the moment. It’s all about planning, designing, and ensuring everyone has their applicable ducks. I can hardly wait until said ducks are in a row and we’re actually breaking ground to build. That could be a few weeks away, though, considering that Father Winter has decided it’s time to cycle in.
While the snowfall in town has been enough to annoy traffic for a few days at a time, the amount of snow in the mountains west of the city looks deeper. The last time we went up (it’s been a couple of weeks), the driveway was buried under a good six or so inches of the season’s offering. And the region has gotten a couple more snowfalls since then. We’re expecting more this week. I’m not complaining, mind you. Goodness knows the western states need the moisture. I just hope we get enough this year to stave off the fire season. (Ha!)
Back to waiting.
