
We talked with a loan officer this week about the latest loan modification. Our loan amount has been increased, which, of course, means higher payments. That should be okay as long as our rental is paid off sooner than later (it’s close). The next step should be getting a phone call from our case manager to direct us to the next steps.
A week or so ago, we received a letter from our case manager letting us know that we need a building permit and insurance for the project. I reached out to our contractor, and I should hear from him in the next couple of days to talk about our deck design and such.
I wish I had more to report, but the process is crawling along. We are inching closer to having a home of our own. For now, we just hurry up and wait.
