Paperwork has been the theme of the week. We got our disaster loan contract a few weeks ago and have been slogging through the “heretofores” and “wherebys” ever since. It’s pretty straightforward, but it’s still the kind of reading that puts me to sleep. Once we both finally read it to the end, we called our case manager to ask what forms he needs first. So now we need to get out the black pens and sign our lives away.

Looking across at our clean slate.
We spent most of the week getting ready for a camping trip that was postponed because of the pandemic. With the world opening back up again, we’re off to the other end of the state for a few days for some rest and relaxation. We have a friend willing to drag our pop-up camper trailer while we lead the way on our motorcycles. It will be the best of both worlds.

Our home away from home, and the dog.
After we return, we’ll get our first new building—a shed. June is already a hectic month. Finally, some pieces are falling into place. But, for now, we take it a day at a time—and remember to breathe.
