We took a day trip yesterday to some property we have on the border. Along the way, we managed to catch some beautiful views.

At altitude, the wildflowers bloom a little later and tend to be smaller than in other climates. I was hoping to find a columbine but didn’t manage to find any on this trip. I did find this along our route.

We drove through a valley with a meandering stream. Not only are the Brook Trout from the stream delicious, but the beavers make use of the deadfall from the trees decimated by the pine bark beetle.

I thought this was an interesting woodshed.

Tomorrow is Memorial Day. It is more than just a long weekend. Please take a moment to remember our fallen service members.
Wow how lucky of you to have such amazing views where you live. That’s why I love reading through people’s blogs, because of the great experiences from all over the world. Thanks for sharing!
