Creative words are hard these days. Practically every post or story I try to write morphs into a commentary on the world of today, along with the challenges we are all facing. So, I’ll start there.
As I’ve said before, I live in a very rural area. The closest grocery is about 45 minutes away, and the nearest convenience store isn’t much closer. We’ve learned to plan ahead over the years, so being in a state-mandated lock-down isn’t too much of an inconvenience for us as far as supplies are concerned.

Luckily, we live on a piece of property that offers a place to hike and explore without the issue of meeting people. I can wander off and hike exploring places like this.

The gully that separates our land has its own beauty, and I’m looking forward to exploring that area thoroughly.

I’ve only explored a corner of our world. I have so much more to find.

In time, I’ll put on a costume, grab my bow and sword, and put myself in a fantasy mindset for a few hours. I’ll record my journey in pictures, and maybe a little video with commentary for my use when I write. For now, though, I’m settling into a new normal, just like the rest of the world.
