Happy 2026. I have posted little more than my Sunday writing this year as I’ve been working on my novel. Back in 2022, I completed the first draft of my YA fantasy novel, tentatively titled, Meegan’s Quest.

It’s the story of a sheltered half-elf teen, raised in seclusion by her elven mother, desperate to see the world beyond her small patch of the Western Wood. Events force her out of the Wood when she’s confronted with her mother’s past.

The manuscript is now in the hands of my editor, and I wait while she reads and edits the latest draft. While I wait (as patiently as possible), other stories of my fantasy world of Adaran are presenting themselves. Now that my manuscript is out of my hands, I’ve been writing about events that occur around the story in the novel.
