This past week saw more progress on the basement level. The downstairs level saw progress as they put in the slider and added treads to the stairs. However, we need to return three of the windows for manufacturing defects.

Adding treads to the stairs.

Downstairs sliding glass door.
Most other work involved getting a water heater installed, and water is now connected from the cistern to the house. We haven’t pressurized the system yet because we still need the sewer system hooked from the house to the septic tank. That happens this coming week, along with having the propane line installed and piped from the entry point in the house to the stove and furnace. After the plumber installs the gas lines, we can call the propane company to get a new tank and regulator.

Ditch for the propane.
Unfortunately, the interior guys will need heat in the house to repair the drywall since the overnight temperatures are dropping below 50*F. Ain’t life grand? Luckily, plenty of other tasks need completion before drywall.
We expect this to be a busy week. I’ll be taking many trips up the mountain to take pictures of our progress.
