Progress at long last.

Last Monday, Mr. Sub-Contractor had his crew up to pour the concrete for the basement floor. On Wednesday, we got word that the framing crew will be up as early as this Tuesday to finish the walk-out. If they start on Tuesday, they should finish by Friday.

Of course, all the building is contingent on the weather staying dry. After they complete the framing, then we’ll need to schedule to have the house brought up and set on the foundation. Once the house is where it belongs, the set crew comes in, makes sure the house is level, and joins both halves. Then, they’ll make sure all the walls and framing are still solid. They’ll repair the drywall, complete the roof, lay the carpets, and connect the utilities. I understand all of that will take two months or more. We’ll see how it all shakes out.

With luck, we won’t have any major delays, and we’ll move into our new(ish) home before fall arrives.
